INSURANCE & DAMAGE DOCUMENTATION

How can drone documentation help with insurance claims?

AGL Drone Imagery provides clear, time-stamped aerial documentation that supports insurance claim review by showing property conditions before cleanup or repairs begin. Early documentation can help preserve visual evidence that may change quickly after storms, flooding, or wind events.

Do you work for insurance companies or homeowners?

AGL Drone Imagery works for property owners, businesses, farmers, and agencies. We provide independent aerial documentation that clients may choose to share with insurance adjusters, contractors, or other professionals as part of their claim process.

Can drone documentation speed up the insurance process?

In many cases, yes. Capturing conditions soon after an event can reduce delays caused by access issues, standing water, debris, or unsafe conditions. While AGL does not influence claim decisions, timely documentation can help clarify conditions during review.

What types of insurance-related documentation do you provide?

Common insurance-related documentation includes roof and structure imagery, flood extent and standing water documentation, wind and storm impact visuals, and large-property or farmland damage overviews. All deliverables are visual and informational only.

AGRICULTURE & LAND MANAGEMENT

How can drone services help farmers and landowners?

AGL Drone Imagery helps farmers and landowners document field conditions, drainage behavior, storm impacts, and land changes over time. Aerial views allow entire properties or fields to be reviewed efficiently while reducing the need for ground access.

Can you document flooded or saturated farmland?

Yes. Aerial documentation is especially valuable after heavy rain or flooding because conditions can change rapidly. Capturing imagery early—before water recedes—can help preserve a clearer record of affected areas.

What agricultural uses are common?

Common agricultural uses include flood and storm damage documentation, drainage and standing water visualization, field condition records over time, pre- and post-harvest documentation, and insurance or program-related visual support.

Do these services replace agronomists or licensed professionals?

No. AGL provides aerial imagery and documentation for planning and review purposes only. Licensed professionals should be consulted when required.

PUBLIC SAFETY & EMERGENCY SUPPORT

Does AGL Drone Imagery support public safety operations?

Yes. AGL Drone Imagery provides aerial documentation and coordination support when requested by public safety agencies. Services are designed to assist—not replace—agency operations.

How do you operate during emergencies?

AGL operates in coordination with local fire departments, law enforcement, and emergency management agencies. All operations follow safety protocols and applicable authorization requirements.

Can you respond quickly after disasters?

For disaster documentation, AGL can respond as soon as conditions are safe and authorized. Timing depends on access, airspace requirements, and weather conditions. Life-safety response is coordinated through public safety agencies—always call 911 first.

What types of public safety documentation do you provide?

Common support includes post-incident site documentation, large-area situational overviews, flood and storm impact visuals, and documentation for planning, review, or after-action reporting.

WHEN AERIAL DOCUMENTATION IS
MOST VALUABLE

You should consider aerial documentation when conditions may change quickly, access is limited or unsafe, large areas must be reviewed efficiently, or documentation is needed before repairs or cleanup begin. Early documentation often provides the most complete picture.

FACTS & FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(FAQ)

1) What does AGL Drone Imagery LLC do?

AGL Drone Imagery LLC provides professional aerial photography, video, and visual documentation services designed to support planning discussions, review, communication, marketing, and long-term recordkeeping. Depending on the project, deliverables may include edited aerial photographs, video clips, cinematic videos, 2D Orthomosaic Images, 3D visual deliverables, elevation and terrain visualizations, thermal imagery, and high-resolution exterior documentation of sites and structures.

2) How is this different from hiring someone who “just flies a drone”?

Many drone operators focus primarily on capturing attractive images. AGL Drone Imagery emphasizes structured planning, repeatable capture workflows, controlled flight execution, and professional post-processing to produce consistent, reliable visual documentation. This approach is especially valuable for larger properties, complex sites, post-event documentation, and projects where accuracy, clarity, and repeatability matter.

3) What areas do you serve?

AGL Drone Imagery primarily serves northeastern North Carolina, including Camden, Pasquotank, Currituck, and Gates Counties, as well as surrounding communities such as Elizabeth City, South Mills, Moyock, and the Outer Banks. Travel outside the standard service area is available as outlined in this guide and confirmed in advance.

4) Are your operations legal and compliant in North Carolina?

Yes. All flights are conducted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations under Part 107 or, when applicable, under authorized public-agency operations. AGL Drone Imagery provides visual documentation services only and does not perform regulated professional services as defined by North Carolina licensing boards.

5) How does pricing work, and why is it shown as a range?

Pricing is shown as a range because every project is different. Final pricing may be influenced by factors such as site size, terrain or structural complexity, obstacles, flight time, processing requirements, airspace authorization needs, turnaround timelines, travel distance, and overall scope. All pricing is reviewed and approved with the client before work begins.

6) What video format will I receive?

Horizontal video is the default format and is best suited for websites, YouTube, MLS listings, and standard social media posts. Vertical video is available when requested in advance and is optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and similar short-form media. Some projects may include both formats when requested.

7) What deliverables will I receive?

Deliverables depend on the selected service and project goals. Deliverables may include edited aerial photographs, edited video clips, cinematic videos, thermal imagery, and advanced visual documentation products. Optional add-ons, such as raw files or overlay-based visual references, may be requested separately.

8) How soon will I receive my deliverables?

Delivery timelines begin after the flight is completed. Typical timelines are: Photos and standard video clips: approximately 5–7 business days Cinematic or edited video packages: approximately 7 business days Larger or more complex projects: approximately 7–10 business days Weather conditions, airspace authorization timing, add-ons, or client-requested revisions may extend delivery timelines.

9) What about FAA airspace authorization and scheduling?

Some locations require FAA airspace authorization prior to flight. Authorization timelines vary and may take several days to multiple weeks depending on location and conditions. All flights are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and media quality.

10) Do your services replace licensed surveyors, engineers, inspectors, or adjusters?

No. AGL Drone Imagery does not provide boundary determinations, legal property descriptions, certified measurements, engineering services, architectural services, inspections requiring licensure, or insurance claims-adjustment services. All deliverables are provided for visual documentation purposes only.

11) How accurate is RTK-supported drone imagery?

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning can improve positional consistency and repeatability for supported documentation workflows. RTK does not provide certified accuracy or legal precision and should not be used as a substitute for licensed professional services.

12) Who owns the delivered media?

Clients receive a non-exclusive license to use delivered media for personal, business, marketing, and promotional purposes. Media may be edited by the client for their own use. Resale, sublicensing, redistribution, or third-party licensing is not included unless agreed upon in writing. Raw files, when provided, are delivered as-is.

13) Can AGL use project imagery for marketing?

AGL may use selected imagery for portfolio, website, and social media purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing. Sensitive locations, private properties, or identifiable details may be excluded or anonymized when appropriate.

14) What is thermal imaging used for?

Thermal imaging captures surface temperature differences to highlight areas of interest that may not be visible in standard imagery. Common uses include search and rescue support, lost pet or wildlife recovery, building heat-loss visualization, infrastructure observation, utility inspections, and environmental documentation.

15) Does thermal imaging diagnose problems or confirm defects?

No. Thermal imagery documents observed temperature variations only. AGL Drone Imagery does not diagnose causes, confirm defects, or determine compliance. Thermal data is provided for visual reference and follow-up by qualified professionals when needed.

16) Are thermal readings accurate?

Thermal sensors provide accurate surface temperature readings within their specified tolerances. Readings may be influenced by environmental conditions, material properties, distance, and viewing angle. Thermal imagery should be interpreted as observational data, not definitive analysis.

17) Is thermal imaging regulated or licensed in North Carolina?

Thermal imaging for visual documentation purposes does not require a separate state license. However, thermal imagery is not a substitute for licensed inspections, engineering evaluations, or insurance determinations.

18) Can thermal imaging be used for emergency or public-safety situations?

Yes. Thermal imaging is commonly used to support search and rescue, wildlife recovery, situational awareness, and time-sensitive observations. In emergency situations, 911 or appropriate authorities should always be contacted first. AGL supports agencies and individuals when activated and when operations are lawful and safe.

19) What thermal services are not intended for?

Thermal deliverables are not intended for:
Engineering conclusions
